On the occasion of the holy season of Ramadan, QNET Kazakhstan hosted a charity Iftar for 60 orphans from Perzent, the only Muslim charitable children’s home in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). To show our care and support for the children, QNET took them out to a festive Iftar session at one of the halal restaurants in Almaty.
Accompanied by the staff of the orphanage, QNET staff and volunteers, the children were treated to a feast like they had never had before. It was heartening to see the children enjoy their Iftar, and even more so to see the older children helping the younger children eat, and making sure they were okay.
After their evening prayers and the Iftar, the children were presented with toys, sweets, books, clothes and towels. The children said that the best gift the children received was the love and attention from QNET and our IRs who attended their event and showed their full support.
The smiles on the children’s faces and the joy in their heart as they enjoyed their Iftar and as they opened their presents was enough validation for carrying forward with our goal of Touching A Billion Hearts. Children are our future and QNET feels strongly about using our time, efforts and money on fulfilling our core value of Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM).
