QVI Club staff from our amazing home resort of Prana Resort Nandana participated in not one but two charity actives this month in Koh Samui, Thailand. The activities are the staff’s way of giving back to the community they work in while channelling our core value of RYTHM – Raise Yourself To Help Mankind.
Prana Resort Nandana Staff Take Part in Beach Clean-Up in Koh Samui
A simple act of helping our environment can go a long way if we are willing to get our hands dirty for the sake of others. With the hopes of contributing to the conservation of the Bangrak Beach in Koh Samui, Thailand, volunteers from Prana Resort came together for a beach clean-up drive.
The event was called ‘First We Train, Then We Clean’ and began with a series of functional training, games, drills, and a Latin workout that energised everyone regardless of their different fitness levels. After the fun activities, they proceeded to gather their gloves and trash bags and started picking up every discarded bottle, cigarette butt, and glass shard that they saw.
The staff of QVI Club worked alongside many local organisations, including the International School of Samui to make the beach clean-up activity a big success.
Prana Resort Nandana Staff Run To Raise Funds For Schools For Children With Autism
For their second charity activity, QVI Club staff and volunteers ran the Koh Samui Midnight Run this weekend to raise funds to support schools for children with autism. Part of the funds will also go towards the preservation efforts of Koh Samui, Thailand.
Organised by Thai Hotel Association (THA) and the Thai Association of Koh Samui (TAKS), the fun run saw over a dozen of our staff and volunteers run together with several scores of locals who were all running to raise funds for a cause close to their hearts.
The midnight run has been held since 2012 and has seen more and more participation over the years. There is a simple joy in raising awareness and funds to support worthwhile causes, and QVI Club had the opportunity to do just that.
