Embracing QNET’s strong commitment to Mother Earth and adding to our growing list of environmental conservation and sustainability activities, the staff of QNET Philippines took a morning off to get down and messy for the environment. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity at Rainforest, Pasig City, included several hours of tree-planting.
After assembling at the Pasig Science High School and meeting up with the organisers, the QNET volunteers distributed spades, hand forks and shovels among themselves so they could start burying caballero (also known as the “fire tree”) saplings into the soil. At the end of the morning, several stretches of sidewalks have been successfully lined with saplings ready to join the variety of trees already adorning the urban area.
The activity is in line with our continuing efforts to maintain our position as a green company. The incredible experience of tree-planting allowed our QNET staff to channel the core pillar of RYTHM (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind).
