QNET Indonesia honoured World Water Day 2017 by joining a campaign organised by Environmental Engineering students of Institut Teknologi Surabaya, Indonesia and donating a HomePure unit.
The group headed to a seaside community in Bulak, where majority were middle to low income families working as fisher folk. Here they spoke to people to raise awareness about the importance of clean water in our everyday lives. This was done through counseling about the management of drinking water and treatment of household waste.
Because of their location, it has been a challenge for this community to get clean natural water. It is also too costly for them to purchase bottled water in gallons. To answer these challenges, QNET has also donated one unit of HomePure 7-Stage Filtration System plus one Alkaline Stick to the community. These have been placed in the masjid (place of worship) where people often meet to pray.
